A BEAUTIFULL LARGE Chelsea leafdish, C.1755.

The Meissen style insects on this are VERY BEAUTIFULLY hand painted in an almost top notch Vincennes style. The shape is much rarer than the 'normal' round plates or perhaps oval dishes. It is also in VERY FINE CONDITION, with only 2 little points/ chips restored as per photos. Fully marked to the back with the red anchor, and note the typical Chelsea stilt marks.

WMF Art Deco Style Silver Plate Leaf Dish

This attractive, lightly engraved WMF silver plate leaf shaped fruit bowl stands on two ball feet and the handle and measures 11.5" (29cm) long and 6.25" (16cm) wide at its widest part, and stands 1.5" (4cm) high. The plating on it is in very good condition, and is silver on brass, and it is marked 'WMF brass Germany' just below the handle on the underside of the dish. It is in the Art Deco style, and would fit into both period and contemporary room settings. The firm WMF was started in Germany in the late 1800's and still manufactures, though its most famous work stems from the Art Deco period. The initials stand for 'Wurttembergische Metallwarenfabrik'.

Minton Leaf Shape Dish c1840-60

A Minton leaf shaped flow blue dish c1840-1860, pattern 558. Condition: Fair - some rubbing around the rim, commensurate with age Size: 27.5cm long Weight: 500 Quote Item A8

AN EXTREMELY RARE Derby leafdish, C.1760.

AN EXTREMELY RARE Derby leafdish, C.1760. I say extremely rare, because of the VERY UNUSUAL size. 5 1/2ins by 4ins. It is too large to be a pickledish, and is too small to be one of the leaf shaped dishes I 'usually' see from the 18th cent factories. Could I be wrong, and might it be Longton Hall ? The very organic form is quite Longton Hall, and the style of the painting is just like the 'Trembly Rose' painter. SUPERB CONDITION. Only a bit of flaking to the rim enamels, and that what we see is a firing crack from the rim.

IMPORTANT Worcester leafdish, C.1756/60

An IMPORTANT Worcester leafdish, C.1756/60. These Hancock prints copy Chelsea, and before that Meissen. A simmilar very rare dish like this was sold by Bonhams London 21/2/2001 from the fine Norman Stretton collection. See also Zorrensky collection of Worcester, Bonhams lot no. 247, 23/2/2005, estimated at £600-£800, plus the 20% buyers premium. My dish is also in SUPERB CONDITION, with no chips, cracks or hairlines. I think the dish might have been hung on a wall plate rack, as there appears to be a tiny tiny filled hole in the centre.

BEAUTIFUL Worcester leafdish, C.1765

Unusual version of the Kakiemom pattern by Worcester, known as the KEMPTHORN pattern. It is in SUPERB condition for such a good size piece 10ins across, with only 2 very minor rim nicks, and a tiny flat chip at 6 Oclock. PROVENANCE:- The world famous ZORENSKY COLLECTION, and this was before the collection was sold by Bonhams in London. Label to back.
