Large Victorian Mahogany Extending Dining Table ca 1890
This beautiful large antique Victorian extending dining table has two additional central leaves, winding handle and original mechanism. The piece has a moulded edge with rounded corners above a deep frieze, stands on tapering legs with brass and brown porcelain castors. The piece would easily seat ten people, is a rich dark red mahogany colour with a striking grain, good patina, is in very good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing.

Offered for sale is this fine quality mid Victorian mahogany telescopic dining table extending to approx 91" x 47" with two leaves. The rectangular top has rounded corners with a double edged moulded lip above turned and reeded supports with original brass and ceramic castors. The extending mechanism works very smoothly and comes complete with original handle. The table has been cleaned and sympathetically repolished whilst retaining its original character. It is in excellent showroom condition and dates to about 1860, it is a fine quality above average table.
