Large 1902 Edwardian silver framed mirror

This is a stunning Edwardian large silver mirror fully hallmarked for 1902. The mirror measures 18” x 12 ½”. The wide silver surround is beautifully embossed with flowers and leaves on a matt background. There is a large vacant cartouche at the top of the frame. The glass mirror has a lovely bevelled frosted edge, which sympathises beautifully with the soft matt background of the silver. The glass mirror seems to be in too good condition to be original, but is a good quality mirror of thick glass. The back of the frame is velvet lined. This is original and is a little worn and faded, of course, but is still in quite good condition. There is a hinged support which is completely sound, and the mirror stands perfectly. There is also a wire for hanging. Condition: Excellent. There are no dents splits repairs or holes. All the pins are in place. The glass mirror is perfect. A gorgeous example of a large Victorian art nouveau walnut sideboard having a mirrored mantle with shelves. The main body has 3 drawers, 3 cupboards and a recessed shelf, the right hand cupboard having the original zinc lined cellerette. There is a key which locks all the cupboards. This would make a stunning focal point in your room. 181cm wide, 53cm deep, cupboard height 95cm, overall maximum height 130cm.

Large Victorian French gilt overmantle mirror

Late Victorian French Gilt Overmantle Mirror Circa 1880, a large French Victorian gilt overmantle mirror with attractive flaming torch pediment and floral garland. The surround in gilt depicting attractive small flowers with leafs and buds. There are a few minor losses to the frame which arent noticeable and the original mirror has slight foxing which adds to its authenticity. The mirror is an excellent size and of good detail. Very large Victorian. Single plate with bevelled edge. The mirror has very elaborate panelled back. It has been overpainted but with signs of original paint and gilt underneath. Bought in a house Ashburton, Devon last week.
