The piece stands on a beautiful turned pedestal and has tripod scrolled, carved legs with brown porcelain castors. The piece is a rich warm red mahogany colour with a striking grain, good patina, is in very good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing. The demi ends have attractive tapering legs with bell flower carving, with hinged leaf attached. This lovely table can be used with the demi ends and hinged leaf to seat 8 or if prefered the extra leaf can be inserted to allow 10. A hinged gate leg on either demi sections opens to add support. The height of this particular table allows ample knee room for the taller guests.
