SUPERB DERBY DESSERT SET - EDWIN PRINCE |
| Superb Derby part dessert service from the late Bloor period, dating to c1835, each piece with a finely painted landscape by the last artist to be apprenticed at the Derby factory, Edwin Prince.
Each landscape is surrounded by a wide cobalt blue border with C-scroll detailing and enhanced with gilding.
Factory mark of a crown and ribbon in red, titles of views also in red.

| Superb Derby heart shaped dessert dish with fine botanical study of "Common Nasturtium" by William "Quaker" Pegg, (First Period), c1800. Marked with crown, crossed batons, dots and D in red, and with gilder's number 4 in black at the footrim.
A little wear to the enamels, all-over age crazing.

Late 19thC HAVILAND LIMOGES French 10 piece porcelain dessert service made for C. Jenner and Co. of Edinburgh. |
| Late 19th century Haviland Limoges, famous French maker teal and gilt 10 piece porcelain dessert service comprising: 6 plates, 1 tall comport and 3 other shaped serving dishes (one oval serving dish, and a pair of round servers with handles), all marked on reverse.
A very elegant colour and pattern. Teal outside border with gilt leafy embellishment and discrete impressed shell, outlines a foliate pattern on a white ground, the border repeated again in a slimmer form, finishing with a gilt medallion to centre.
The lovely tall comport with scalloped gilt base, is also beautifully decorated underneath with the foliate pattern. This is only seen with the best makers.
Also marked on reverse by retailer, C. Jenner and Co. of Edinburgh, very good retailers.
Sizes-plates are 8 5/8 inches diameter, oval server is 10 inches wide by 8 inches high, comport is 9 inches diameter by 5 inches high, pair of round servers with handles 9.75 inches wide by 9 inches high.

| Victorian bone china 18 piece dessert service for 12 people comprising 12 plates, and 6 (3 pairs) of different shaped serving dishes. In mint condition, the service is enriched with gilt floral decoration, and with pierced handle design to many pieces.
A very lovely set in superb condition.

19thC Continental tinglazed pottery dessert service |
| 19th century Continental (probably Belgian or French) tinglazed pottery service in basket design, comprising a total of 17 pieces: 9 plates and 8 different and very unusual shaped serving dishes all with pierced basket edges entwined with ribbons to edge.
Every piece has been individually handpainted with landscapes, all different. In remarkable condition, with only two serving pieces having professional antique rivet repairs. A rare service to use and display, in excellent condition. |
Coalport Late Victorian 12 Piece Dessert Service |
| This late Victorian 12 piece porcelain dessert service by the world famous Coalport factory dates between 1881 and 1890.
The service consists of nine dessert plates, one tall footed comport and two low comports. The plates measure 9" in diameter; the tall comport measures 9.25" in diameter and stands 4.5" high, whilst the two low comports measure 9" in diameter and are 2" high. There are marks on the claret border on some of the pieces and slight wear to some of the gilding, commensurate with age and use, but there are no chips, cracks or repairs to any of them.
The centres of the plates and comports are decorated with flower posies, all having slight variations. The underside of the tall comport is also decorated with flowers, and the pedestal has raised claret, gilt and white decoration, whilst the low comports have claret and gilt bases. All the pieces bear the Coalport backstamp.
A very rich looking service of good quality.

Fine Edwardian 10 Piece Dessert Service |
| This is a most beautiful 10 piece porcelain dessert service dating between 1904 and 1908. The maker is Thomas of Bavaria, and the pattern is 'Sevres'. The Thomas factory started in 1904, and in 1908 was acquired by the world-famous Rosenthal.
The set comprises six dessert plates, two footed comports, one lozenge shaped dish and one square lobed dish. They are all in very good condition, with only slight wear to the gilding and a very small chip to the rim of one of the plates. The borders are a very pale lemon with fine honey gilding, and the patterns on the items are six different fruits, being cherries, pears, peaches, grapes, apples and strawberries. All the paintings are signed by the artists.
The plates measure 8.5" in diameter, and the footed comports are 9" in diameter and stand 5.75" high. The lozenge shaped dish is 12" long, 8" wide and stands 1.5" high, whilst the lobed dish measures 12" at the widest and stands 1.75" high.
A beautiful quality dessert service, either for use or display.

Royal Staffordshire Pottery 4 Dessert Plates 1895-1910 |
| Set of four very pretty Royal Staffordshire Pottery (Thomas Hughes), dessert plates were made between 1895 and 1910. They measure 9" in diameter and are in the 'Cornflower' pattern. They are in very good condition, with the exception of a small chip on the underside of the rim on one of the plates. This cannot be seen from the pattern side.

| A rare Ridgway dessert basket with fine landscape to the inside base, twin handles and with moulded detail around the rim. Dates to c1825. An example of this shape shown on G. Godden's "The Illustrated Guide to Ridgway Porcelain" page 84.
