Huge 1850 Victorian silver coffee pot by E J & W Barnard   

This is a superb very large mid Victorian silver coffee pot by the great silversmiths Edward John & William Barnard. The pot is 11” tall and weighs 30 oz. It is of plain silver with a double scrolled handle with thermal inserts, a scroll decorated and leaf capped spout, scroll decorated handle and a beautiful fruit finial. It has a high domed hinged cover. The pot stands on a circular base. Condition: Virtually perfect. There are no dents splits or repairs, and no scratching to the plain surfaces. The hinge of the cover is perfect so that the lid opens and closes perfectly. The handle is firm with no movement as the pins are tightly in place. The interior of the pot is perfectly clean. Dimensions: 11” (27.5 cm) tall and 6” (15 cm) in diameter at its widest point. George II style silver café au lait set by Carrington & Co  

This is a very elegant café au lait set comprising a coffee pot and hot milk pot. The set are hallmarked 1929 and 1931 and are by Carrington & Co the famous quality retail silversmiths in Regent Street, London, who were supplied by only the best manufacturing silversmiths. The set is of a very good gauge of silver and is designed in the circular tapering style of George II, with domed hinged caps and scrolled wooden handles. Condition: Virtually perfect. No dents splits nicks or repairs and no scratching. The cap hinges are perfect and the lids open and close perfectly and the handles are perfectly solid with all their pins intact. Both pieces stand firmly without a wobble. The interiors of both pots are perfectly clean. Dimensions: Both pots are 8” (20 cm) tall and 3 ½” (8.5 cm) in diameter at the base. Large silver coffee pot  

This is a beautiful large baluster shaped silver coffee pot hallmarked 1916. It is of a very elegant design with ribbed sides and scalloped collar with a domed lid and matching finial. The pot stands on a moulded oval foot. A sign of its quality is the silver handle with ivory thermal inserts. It is of a very good gauge of silver and weighs in at a very nice 20 oz. Condition: Very good with just one small dent in the top of the handle where the hinged lid has at some time rested a little too heavily on the handle. This is quite commonly seen in old silver coffee pots and teapots. Other than that condition is virtually perfect, with no other dents or nicks or splits and no scratching. The spout is perfect and the hinge of the lid works perfectly, the lid closing perfectly in position. The ivory inserts are perfectly intact, and the pins in position so there is no movement to the handle. The pot sits firmly without a wobble. The interior of the pot is perfectly clean. Dimensions: 9” (23 cm) tall, and measuring 9 ¼” (24 cm) from the tip of the spout to the edge of the handle. Silver coffee pot or biggin in 18th century style  

This is a very smart good quality hallmarked silver coffee pot in the 18th century style sometimes known as a biggin. It is of a very good gauge of silver and is very solid. It has an oval baluster shaped body with a short scroll spout typical of the biggin. The spout has ribbed decoration. There is a hinged cover with a lovely thumbpiece. The scrolled handle is wicker covered. The pot stands on a spreading moulded foot. Condition: Virtually perfect. There are no dents splits or repairs. The hinge is perfect and the lid closes perfectly in place. The spout is perfect and the wicker covering of the handle is perfectly intact and in excellent condition. The interior of the pot is perfectly clean. Dimensions: 7 ½” (19 cm) tall. 6 ½” (17 cm) from the tip of the spout to the edge of the handle. 4 ½” (11 cm) in diameter at its widest point. Art deco silver coffee pot  

This is a stylish very good quality hot milk or coffee pot, art deco in style and art deco in period. It was made by the excellent makers, Mappin & Webb, and is of a very good gauge of silver. This very stylish pot is circular with a beautifully polished D-shaped Bakelite handle, and sits on a round foot. The pull-off circular lid has a stepped art deco style rim and a beautiful ivory finial. There is a monogram which I read as JEA. Condition: Excellent. No dents nicks or repairs and no scratching. The handle is completely firm and the jug sits firmly on its base without a wobble. The finial is firm and unmoving and the lid sets itself firmly and correctly into the pot. The inside is perfectly clean and the pot ready for use. Solid Silver Coffee Pot Georgian Style  

A stunning solid silver coffee pot in George II style manufactured by one of London's most important silversmiths, C.J. Vander. The coffee pot stands 9.25" high to the top of the finial, and weighs a substantial 22.95 troy ounces (714 grams). The pot is in excellent condition with no damage or repairs. It is not initialled or engraved, and never has been.The hallmarks are clear and legible. C.J. Vander manufactured very high quality silver items in their Hatton Garden workshop from the 1880's, and their products were much favoured by the British aristocracy, and in more recent years, film stars. A rare opportunity to acquire a piece of C.J. Vanders silver at a realistic price.

Deco Coffee Pot  

A very pretty 'deco' coffee pot by the Standard China Co. (Chapmans), dating from the 1930/40's. It measures 6.5" from handle to spout, and is 7.5" high, including the finial. The pot is of typical deco shape and is decorated with delicate sprays of pink and blue blossoms. There is no damage, chips or cracks to the pot, and the gilding is in excellent condition. This pretty deco coffee pot would look equally at home in a modern or period setting.

Deco Coffee Pot  

This late Art Deco coffee pot was manufactured between 1936 and 1939 by the Circle Pottery Co. It is of a simple and elegant form, being pale green with darker green decoration to the handle, spout, lid and rim. It measures 8.25" high, including the lid, and there is no damage or repairs to it. This coffee pot could be used or simply be a decorative item, typical of its period.

C1828 Old Sheffield Plate coffee pot  

Circa 1828 lovely Old Sheffield Plate coffee pot by Roberts, Smith and Co. of Sheffield. Overall engraved flower and shell motif to body, with cast shell and scroll feet and finial. Ivory spacers to handle. Condition is good, with a hint of copper showing through lower body engraving as is usual with age, and one line crease to lower body on one side. A lovely example with great age.

Aynsley bone china coffee service with silver spoons  

Aynsley very fine quality cased set of six coffee cans and saucers, and six matching solid English hallmarked silver gilt and enamel coffee spoons hallmarked Birmingham 1961. The china is a crimson, cream and gilt leafed pattern, and is marked number 163. The whole is encased in original blue case, and is in original pristine condition. Retailed by Garrard's, fine maker's, maker to the Queen. A fine complete service of 18 pieces.

Redfern & Drakeford 10 Piece Coffee Set 1920/30's  

This very pretty coffee set dates from the 1920/30's and was made by Redfern & Drakeford for the prestigious retailers Waring & Gillow. It consists of four coffee cans and saucers, and a cream jug and sugar basin. The pattern and gilding is unworn and in pristine condition, and there is no damage to the set apart from a small star crack in the base of the cream jug, though I have tested the jug and it does hold liquid without leaking. This is a beautiful set with a famous retailer's name to the base of all the pieces. it could be used or would make an effective display item.
