Antique Victorian Upholstered Howard Armchair ca 1870 This beautiful antique Victorian upholstered armchair attributed to ‘Howard & Sons’ has a shaped buttoned back, swept, buttoned arms and a deep seat. The chair stands on splayed back legs, beautiful turned front legs and white porcelain castors. The chair has been newly upholstered in a neutral open woven fabric with matching piping, the mahogany is a rich / dark mahogany colour with a striking grain, good patina, is in good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing.
