This stunning antique William IV satinwood work box / games table has a rectangular top with chequered inlays of bird’s eye maple and walnut with ebony banding. The piece has a frieze drawer with brass handles above a work box covered in pink silk. The piece stands on a tapering pedestal with a quadriform base and four splayed legs. The piece is a rich warm satinwood colour with a striking grain, good patina, is in very good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing.

Veneered in figured walnut this Victorian work box comprises of rotating hinge top with a chess backgammon and cribbage board inlaid into it, below is a card and counters drawer, below this is a sliding drop well box for sewing upholstered in cream damask, the whole supported on petite well defined carved lion paw feet with brass casters.

| Victorian Walnut Games / Work Box ca 1840
This beautiful Victorian walnut games / work box has an octagonal moulded top with central inlaid chequered top. The lid lifts, the interior has a removable sectioned tray (part lined with dark blue velvet) and a lower storage compartment. The piece stands on an octagonal tapering base with a turned pedestal, tripod splayed legs, is a warm medium walnut colour with a striking grain, good patina, is in very good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing.

This beautiful Victorian mahogany games table / work box has a serpentine front and chequered top in assorted inlays. The piece has a frieze drawer above a pull out work box (this would have been covered in fabric), beautiful fretwork carved supports, shaped sides and stands on four scrolled legs. The piece has some old veneer repairs, is a rich dark mahogany colour with a striking grain, good patina, is in very good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing.
