Georgian Mahogany Blanket Box with Drawer |
| Large Georgian mahogany blanket box with one long drawer in the base. Constructed from solid mahogany throughout with a pine lined drawer, the box retains its original finish and has excellent patination from years of use. No loose joints, the top sits nice and flat when closed and no significant damage anywhere on this item. The feet are later replacements but you can't tell whithout getting down on your hands and knees! The drawer runs smoothly and has genuine Georgian brass handles but not the originals. Theres a working key for the drawer but not for the top although the original lock is present and intact. Price £250.00 reasonable offers considered - telephone us on 01454 228800 9am to 9pm. Victorian Mahogany chest of drawers with deep blanket drawer |
| Tall Victorian mahogany six drawer chest of drawers with a 12" deep blanket drawer at the bottom that incorperates the plinth - this is the popular rounded corner model.
Original french polished finish throughout, original wooden handles, locks and escutheons. Some aged markings and scratches to the top surface that are not fresh and have blended in. Some minor hairline shrinkage splits a few inches long mainly to the top but no veneer missing anywhere and no work required. All six drawers run smoothly. Lovely warm slightly faded brown mahogany colour throughout.
