Description

A fine quality fully restored satinwood mercurial wheel barometer by Terzza of Nottingham circa 1825.
The beautifully proportioned swan-neckl pediment case constructed of the finest quality figured satinwood, with ebony stringing to the outer edge.
The engraved 8" diameter silvered brass dial calibrated from 28" to 31" with weather indications.
The barometer reading is indicated by a blued steel hand and can be recorded with a brass set hand, operated by a brass knob.
The dial enclosed within a heavy cast brass bezel and original convex glass.
The arched silvered brass temperature scale is calibrated from 0 to 120 Fahrenheit, with a fine mercury thermometer.
The barometer is in fine original condition and is in perfect working order, accurately measuring changes in weather patterns as a result of changes in atmospeheric pressure.
