This is indeed one of the most picturesque areas of the Lake District. William Wordsworth, one of our beloved Poets was born in Cockermouth and later lived in Grassmere, where we produced some of his nicest works, before moving to Rydalmount. The painters Thomas Gainsborough, J M W Turner and John Constable were all visitors. This is one of the most popular venue for walkers, on our beautiful Island. Watercolour on paper, stuck onto card. Titled to card centre, presented within a giltwood glazed frame with cream lined mount.
