A very fine and rare antique Continental porcelain cream character jug modelled as a cow wearing a dress. The jug is finely made and of conical shape the body formed as a dress and clothing with the front legs as arms resting either side and the head with horns and ears forming the pouring spout. The cows tail forms the handle and the whole is hand painted in colours with excellent detail and with indistinct impressed makers marks to the base.
