Splendid Original Watercolour Painting by Henry John Kinnaird.
Henry John Kinnaird was a landscape artist who painted rural scenes in the manner of artist John Hooper. Kinnaird exhibited in London from 1880, mainly at The Royal Academy and The Royal Society of British Artists. Although he painted many river scenes he was also comfortable when painting studies of the rural way of life. Many of his works were of harvesting scenes painted around the Sussex and Surrey areas.
The painting depicts cattle on the River Ouse with a Mill in the background.
Signed to the lower right.
The watercolour is mounted however it is not framed.
The actual painting is approximately 11 1/4" by 8".
In good condition.
