Unusually compact scale 4-door bookcase with glazed top section and panelled-door cupboards beneath . The top with original velvet lining , fitted with adjustable shelves , brass door bolts , brass locks and original keys . The gently arched glazed-top panel doors above figured mahogany rounded-corner panel doors below . The cornice of stepped and flared architecturally-inspired form , the whole raised on a plinth base.
Of practical compact scale , with excellent to-scale proportions . Unusual build-design whereby the whole bookcase can be disassembled into 7 sections for ease of movement and to facilitate transport .
Exceptional quality bookcase throughout , with all original fittings , having been manufactured by highly-skilled cabinet-makers using a superior grade of mahogany .
