Rare early Birmingham silver caddy spoon filigree bowl Thomas Willmore 1804

Status: This item has been sold
Sold by: Carlyon Silver

A beautiful example of a Georgian silver caddy spoon with a filigree panel insert to the bowl. The handle is attractively engraved and has a vacant cartouche to the terminal. For a similar example, see "Caddy Spoons, an Illustrated Guide" by John Norrie, plate 36.
Condition: In quite exceptional antique condition for such a delicate piece, having no damage or repair and crucially no losses at all to the filigree insert. The engraving crisp, and with good hallmarks.
Dimensions: Bowl: 43 x 44mm. Weight: 7g
