Offered for sale is this super early 18th century oak drop leaf dining table. Would seat 8 people comfortably.
Dating from 1720 possibly slightly earlier. Made from oak. Wonderful primitve pegged joint construction. Excellent colour and patina. Nice thick oak plank top with oval drop flaps, single long draw to one end, standing turned boobbin legs & stretchers. Gate leg action. A very heavy table.
Wondeful colour and patina. Very solid and sturdy, good for another 300 years.
Measures 30.5" high, 51" deep, 52" wide with boith flaps up, 19" wide with the flaps down.
