A really stunning and unusually well preserved original early oak lowboy.
This type of stretcher and shaped cushion drawer are found in late 17th century English pieces and very rarely found (particularly in oak furniture) after 1700 - giving a defined date for the lowboy as having been made between 1680-1700
Dimensions are: 28.5 inches high, 30 inches wide, 22 inches deep. Internal height of drawer is 3 inches and from floor to lowest edge of frieze is 23 inches
