A Victorian Rustic Pine Desk, or Writing Table
The table has with a solid pine top, with a scalloped apron beneath, it has 2 drawers and turned pine legs
This is a one piece desk or writing table, it has a fair bit of scaring from a woodworm attack, but this does give it a rather rustic look, other wise it is a sound piece and all of the woodworm is quite dead as it was destroyed in the stripping process
The desk is 39” long, it is 20” deep and 31” high (23” under knee)

About the Date of Manufacture
This antique was produced in the Victorian period (1837 - 1901). The Victorian era of British history was the period of Queen Victoria's reign from 20 June 1837 until her death, on 22 January 1901. It was a long period of peace, prosperity and national self-confidence for Great Britain. Some scholars date the beginning of the period in terms of sensibilities and political concerns to the passage of the Reform Act 1832.
